.........BHUBANESWAR: Most schools in the City registered 100 per cent result in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examination which was declared on Sunday. The day was also marked with confusion and resentment as results of a number of students were withheld by the Board. In science, students of City-based DAV School, Unit VIII bagged the top three positions in the State. While Pratik Kumar Sahoo topped the State with 98.2 per cent, the second position was bagged jointly by Saswat Dash and Abhipsa Sahoo who scored 98 per cent. Anubhav Satpathy secured the third position with 97.8 per cent.
Soumya Sambhavi of SAI International School emerged topper in Commerce stream in Bhubaneswar Region with 98.4 per cent marks.In DAV, Unit VIII, 31 students scored above 95 per cent in science stream while 91 crossed the 90 per cent mark. In Commerce, Pooja Satpathy topped with 96.8 per cent marks in the school. Total four students scored above 95 per cent and 10 crossed 90 per cent marks in Commerce. Of 267 students in science and commerce streams in the school, results of 163 have been declared so far.
In Mothers Public School, Soumya Ranjan Dash topped in Science with 96.8 per cent. Tanaya Mohanty and Bibhas Kumar Sahu secured the second and third positions with 96.4 per cent and 96.2 per cent respectively. In Commerce, Sakar Das was the topper with 97.8 per cent. Shakshi Aggarwal and Shreepriya Acharya followed him with 95.8 per cent and 95.4 per cent.
Total 114 students of DAV, Chandrasekharpur scored more than 90 per cent. Subham Sourav was the topper in Science with 96 per cent, Megha Mayuree scored the highest in Commerce with 95.6 per cent and SD Swagata Satprem topped Humanities with 92.2 per cent. Total 98 per cent students of the school passed with first division and of them, more than 75 per cent scored above 80.
Chinmaya Mohanty of SAI International topped the school in Science with 96.8 per cent and was closely followed by Shruti Arya and Arjun Roy who scored 96.4 per cent and 95 per cent respectively. In Commerce, Neha Moda stood second with 97.6 per cent and Shivangi Agarwal and Anant Dalmia scored 96.6 per cent each. Mugdha Mohapatra topped the Humanities with 95.6 per cent. Anish Mishra and Amlan Mishra stood second and third in Humanities with 95.2 per cent and 95 per cent respectively.
Total 495 students appeared the CBSE XII exams of which over 400 students passed with more than 75 per cent marks in SAI International School.
In KIIT International School, all students who appeared the examinations in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams passed with first division marks. Deepasha Rath topped in Humanities with 95.6 per cent. Toppers of Science and Commerce streams have scored 95 per cent marks.
