.........BHUBANESWAR: Students of City-based Neelachal Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Friday ransacked two floors of the college alleging irregularities and delay in issuing certificates.
Students of BSc Nursing (2012-16 batch) of NIMS, who have already appeared their final examinations, are yet to get their provisional certificate, marksheet and registration number which are mandatory to apply for a job.
The students alleged that though the college was de-affiliated by Utkal University from 2011, the management had kept them in dark. More than 50 students also staged agitation outside the college premises on the day.
One of the agitating students said though they received marksheets of the first, second and third year examinations from the university, the final scorecards have been withheld. The students have lodged a complaint with Kharavel Nagar police in this regard.Attempts to contact NIMS Director Damodar Pati proved futile.
